The setter position is a key role to any team’s offense. They are the quarterback, the point guard, the field commander on the volleyball court.
The outside hitter position should be called “The Terminator”. Their job is to terminate the point scoring for their team as efficiently as possible.
The middle blocker position is the gate keeper at the net. They’re generally big and/or fast actively seeking the ball above the net.
The libero position is the defender of the floor on the floor. They prevent the ball from hitting the court at any cost. They are the defensive specialist. You can identify them by their jersey color which is not the same as their team.
The opposite hitter position is a tricky position to define since it is used in varying ways.
